Julie Shore has become an integral part of the Awards department team working alongside Dr. John Leverence for more than three decades. She is responsible for liaising with the Television Academy's Awards Committee on both implementing rules and procedures for the Primetime Emmys and interpreting those rules throughout the competition. Through this, Shore has built longstanding relationships with the various networks, studios, agencies and individual producers throughout the industry.

Shore was initially hired as the receptionist for the Academy in 1985, and transferred the following year to the Membership Department where she worked as an assistant and later as the Membership Administrator. In 1988 she transitioned to the Awards Department where she has served as Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards Administrator; Primetime Emmy Awards Administrator; Director, Primetime Awards; and then VP, Awards until recently being promoted to Vice President, Awards.
