Envisioning Our Foundation

New Look - New Vision - New Destination Campaign

In addition to its work on the Archive of American Television, our Foundation has helped thousands of talented undergraduate and graduate students find their voices, refine their skills, and forge rewarding careers in every area of the television industry. The endowment will give Foundation programs greater breadth, depth, and reach, enabling us to find and nurture more of tomorrow's leaders.

Internships

Our internship program provides paid, hands-on work experiences for undergraduate and graduate students who work shoulder-to-shoulder with television industry mentors while building professional networks. The endowment will more than double the number of internships and provide housing allowances for the first time.

Scholarships and Grants

Our Foundation currently helps those seeking a career in children's media through the Mister Rogers Memorial Scholarship. An endowment will establish new tuition-based scholarships for students pursuing an education in any aspect of television. Additionally, grants for high school media programs will kindle the passion of tomorrow's television leaders — particularly in underserved communities nationwide.

College Television Awards

The work of the nation's outstanding student directors, producers, writers, animators and television news teams is recognized every year at the College Television Awards. The endowment will increase the number of competitive categories and expand the students' experience into a week to showcase their work and engage with industry professionals, agents and mentors.

Faculty Seminar

Each fall, the Foundation hosts college professors from across the country, providing access to top production and programming personnel in a five-day series of discussions and presentations. The endowment will enable more sessions throughout the year and allow instructors to stay connected with the industry through virtual meetings and presentations for their students.
