Governors Anya Adams and Mary Lou Belli, along with their Peer Group Executive Committee, invite members of the Directors Peer Group to:
Connecting with Actors: A Three-Day Workshop
Thursday, November 30 (Virtual), 7:00 - 9:00 PM PST
Friday, December 1, 1:00 - 5:00 PM PST
Saturday, December 2, 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM PST
Learn and practice tried-and-true techniques to build relationships with actors and always get the performance you want.
Directors rely on actors to deliver a great scene. But how do you ensure you will get that?
In this workshop you will learn:
Your strengths as a director—what can you bring to the actor's process?
Efficient and effective communication, so actors understand what you want moment to moment.
How to analyze scenes from the actor's point of view, so you can anticipate problems in performance before they happen.
How to form creative bonds with actors, so they love working with you and bring their best performance to every scene.
Get the toolbox you need to take your directing to the next level.
