T.C. Williams was a makeup artist and camera operator best known for his makeup work on the films Solaris, Ocean's Twelve and The Last Airbender.
Williams also worked as a makeup artist on the 1991 ABC television film Son of the Morning Star, starring Gary Cole as George Armstrong Custer at the battle of Little Bighorn. Williams won an Emmy Award for his work on the telefilm in the category of outstanding achievement in makeup for a miniseries or special.
He also worked on the feature films The Good German starring George Clooney, Cate Blanchett and Tobey Maguire; Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday; My Giant; Living Out Loud; How the Grinch Stole Christmas starring Jim Carrey; Big Fish; Transformers: Dark of the Moon and the 2015 version of The Fantastic Four.
Later in his career Williams focused more heavily on camera operation, working on the television series Love in the Wild, the 2013 World Poker Tour and the reality competition program Race to the Scene. Hosted by action star Dolph Lundgren, the latter reality show featured contestants racing to and from actual movie locations and competing in challenges inspired by those films.
Williams died August 8, 2015, in Frazier Park, California. He was 49.
