Barbara Taylor Bradford was a writer who was best known as the author of the best-selling novel, "A Woman of Substance." The book was later adapted into a television mini series which received two Emmy nominations.
Throughout her career she wrote 40 books, many of them turned into series and movies, produced by her husband, Robert E. Bradford. Hold the Dream, To Be the Best and Act of Will were other novels written by Barbara that were brought to life on screen. Television movies based on her novels include "Remember," "Everything to Gain," "Love in Another Town," Her Own Rules" and "A Special Affair."
